"The Oyler House" Richard Neutra's Desert Retreat Sold Out
In 1959, a working-class government employee in the tiny desert town of Lone
Pine, California, asked world-famous modern architect Richard Neutra to design
his modest family home. To his surprise, Neutra agreed. Thus began an unlikely
friendship that would last until Neutra's death in 1970. The Oyler House:
Richard Neutra's Desert Retreat tells the story of this house and its stunning
desert setting through interviews with Richard Oyler, actress Kelly Lynch, who
currently owns the house, Neutra's two sons, and well-known LA real estate agent
Crosby Doe.

Synopsis: Sam is a movie producer. He is 48 years old and still single. Never married, but suddenly decides he wants a family. However, even with his hope, he has no idea how to build relationships as he lived single and free his whole life. The story finally deepens as he meets a Lisa, who is a widow and much younger than him. Considering the age gaps, the story illustrates the two characters' mental age as a serious, but interesting love-comedy.

Synopsis: In an effort to find love, tall girl Harriet finds herself on a blind date with Ed. Ed is short. Really short. As soon as Harriet lays eyes on him, her heart sinks, as she knows the date will be a dud. Short guys just don’t do it for her.

A bit on the picky side, Harriet holds high expectations that most guys couldn’t possibly meet, especially a short one. As the evening progresses, however, she starts to feel a slight attraction toward Ed, prompting her to revamp her initial position and actually consider the possibility of dating a short man.

During the date, she starts fantasizing about what it’d be like to date a short guy. In each fantasy, Harriet finds a way to humorously work through whatever difficulties Ed’s shortness presents. By the date’s end, she’s fully convinced herself that Ed is, in fact, the loveliest of treats.

Admittedly, she goes a bit overboard in determining the entire trajectory of their relationship on a first date, but Harriet has finally learned to loosen her expectations and open herself to the prospect of finding love in unexpected places.

"Franky and the Ant" Short Film Purchase Tickets

Franky and The Ant” is a crime thriller ignited by betrayal and driven by vengeance. Franky is a methodical, professional killer who holds one human quality higher than most and that’s loyalty.

Franky abducts a beautiful young woman in a silk pink robe and bunny slippers, by the name of Kare Bear, from her upscale home. Tied, gagged and covered by a hooded veil, she is tossed in the trunk of Franky’s car. Franky then picks up his friend and protege, The Ant, who joins him on the job. They drive out to a deserted field, where a large hole had been previously dug. The Ant, unaware of who might be in the trunk and hidden under the hooded veil, faithfully helps Franky carry the woman to the grave without question.

After Kare Bear’s unsuccessful attempt to escape, Franky and The Ant toss her into the grave. Upon impact, Kare Bear’s shirt rides up just enough to reveal a tattoo on her torso. Ant quickly recognizes the tattoo, revealing her identity and abruptly reminding him of his past affairs with Kare Bear. We soon discover the Franky also has relations with Kare Bear, but on a much more committed level. Franky, betrayed by the two people that are closest to him, explosively resolves the situation, permanently severing relations with all parties involved.

'Mikey' tells the story of a guy with emotional and social difficulties named Philip, who is obsessed with a wannabe singer. He has been stalking her for almost a year, secretly taking her pictures and collecting all kinds of elements belonging to her to building a shrine in his apartment wall as a gift.

'Mikey' is about a man deeply wounded who thinks he is not good enough for the woman he loves. So hidden beneath a deep obsession he will try to communicate his love through a misunderstood gift.

It's also about our worst enemy: our own minds. How the mind can trick us to do unnecessary things when the answer is much simpler. Sometimes we are so immerse in our thoughts that we forget to live our lives instead.

The challenge and fun we had making this film was to find the balance between the definitive narrative storyline and a certain poetic tone we wanted to evoke throughout the film. Synopsis
Based on a true story and set on the island of Curaçao:
A rich man and a poor man meet in a hallway of the only hospital on the island, where they learn they are both being treated for the same form of cancer.

The inquisitive poor man is eager to converse, while the rich man wants nothing but some peace and quiet. As the conversation grows ever more curious however, the poor man begins to reveal great personal details of the rich man’s life, while the rich man is convinced he has never seen this poor man before.

We learn that the rich man – whom has had access to all the health-care in the world – will live; the poor man will not. We also learn that though the rich man may not even have realized it, the poor man has been his gardener for over twenty years.

For five minutes, these two gentlemen become equals for the very first (and last) time. In this last conversation that the two ever have, the poor man reminds the rich man of the value of life, and to appreciate it while he still can.

Sunday Afternoon Feature Film & Documentaries: Return to the Hiding Place

Synopsis

In Holland during WWII, Corrie ten Boom's army of untrained teenagers including Hans Poley, Piet Hartog, and their friends navigate a deadly labyrinth of challenges to rescue the Jewish people in their panicked exodus from death.

All the while, they embark on a nonstop, action-packed hunt with the Underground involving Gestapo hijacks, daring rescues, codes in windswept old windmills, and stunning miracles in one of history's most famous dramas.

Climaxing in the true, breath-taking rescue of an entire orphanage of Jewish children marked for mass execution by Hitler's assassins, audiences will both cheer and weep at this exciting, sobering true tale of Hans and the youth resistance movement that dared to resist one of History's cruelest tyrants.
